Education

Swansea Community Farm offers a wide variety of Education Programmes for all ages.

Since 2006 we have developed a reputation for one of the leading outdoor education venues in the Swansea region.  Our purpose built and fully accessible site is an ideal venue for outdoor learning and can accommodate a wide range of ages and abilities.

Our Education programmes aim to provide structured education visits to the Farm, based around sustainable issues such as food, farming, composting, energy, sustainable building and arts & crafts.

Programmes include:

Food and Farming (half and full day visits)

Turn with the Worm (full day visit)

Hands-on! Animal Tour

Animal Magic

Incubation Project

14-19 Network (Agored Cymru Entry Level)

New for 2013 - Farm Habitats and Biodiversity Programme

We are very flexible at the Farm, and if you are interested in covering a specific topic, or something that is not currently on our list, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

The Education programme has links with SEEF (Swansea Environmental Education Forum) Schools group. Three members of staff are CEVAS accredited. These links mean that your visit to the Farm will be well organised, relevant and safe.

For adult education and training opportunities, please contact the Farm.

In July 2012, our Farm was visited by Prince Charles to see how we have built up our site through sustainable and environmentally friendly projects and we were awarded the Sustainable Swansea Award in 2005 and 2010.

Don't take our word for it, come and see what we are all about!
