Spring has Sprung Down on the Farm

Spring is certainly underway with the arrival of our new LLanwenog lambs.  Llanwenog are a rare and old welsh breed of sheep and have been part of the farm since 1995.

Talking about the new arrivals, Animal Keeper Chris Jones said “Our first lambs, Lotty, Letitia and Larry were born in 2006 and we have had the Llanwenog sheep on our farm ever since.  They are a very hardy but docile breed and this means that the children can learn more about handling and looking after the sheep when they visit the farm.

Come along and see them playing in their paddock!”  “The lambs are one of the many animals that we care for on the farm, there are pigs, ducks, chickens, rabbits and geese to name a few.”Also newly arrived, are the adorable yellow, fluffy goslings.  Come and see them having a bath, pecking in their new surroundings or sleeping in the sun, you cant help fall in love with them! We are open Monday to Saturday 10 am to 4 pm, we look forward to seeing you.
