Swansea Community Farm is a place about people; often described as an outdoor community centre we encourage everyone in the community to play their part. Volunteers are obviously the mainstay of our activities, whether they are children, young people and adult volunteers who attend to the day to day on site operations, those who assist in delivering the Child and Youth Project or adults who help guide the Farm as a member of the Board of Trustees.
Holding it all together is a team of full time and part time staff who together with sessional workers, secure funding, develop programmes, co-ordinate projects and supervise activities. At the moment, we have the following members of staff on board...
Alyson Williams – The Child and Youth Project Officer who organises and runs activities for local children and young people (and has a lot of fun doing it).
Kate Gibbs - the new Volunteer and Training Officer and is responsible for organising a wide range of adult volunteer activities at the same time as delivering or organising training opportunities and skills training for our adult volunteers.
