Swansea Community Farm is a place about people; often described as an outdoor community centre we encourage everyone in the community to play their part. Volunteers are obviously the mainstay of our activities, whether they are children, young people and adult volunteers who attend to the day to day on site operations, those who assist in delivering the Child and Youth Project or adults who help guide the Farm as a member of the Board of Trustees. Holding it all together is a team of full time and part time staff who together with sessional workers, secure funding, develop programmes, co-ordinate projects and supervise activities. This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it – is the Education and Sustainability Manager and when escaping his office bound duties can occasionally be seen turning steaming compost heaps or building trees out of children – otherwise responsible for overseeing site and building development and the Farm’s Home Compost project. This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it – the Community Development Manager, is responsible for organising a wide range of adult volunteer activities at the same times as making the Farm more financially sustainable through interesting ideas, creative schemes and fantastically fun events. Alyson Williams – The Child and Youth Project Officer who organises and runs activities for local children and young people (and has a lot of fun doing it). He is also the man with answers to all farm, animal and I.T. related questions. Adam Neill – the Maintenance Assistant who keeps the Farm squeaky clean and ensures that no staff members, volunteer or visitor shall even want for a mug.
