The Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is elected each year by the membership at its Annual General Meeting. Board members are the Trustees of the charity and Directors of the Company. A number of skilled and experienced advisors attend to offer support, expertise and advice.

The Board meets every 8 weeks in order to: ensure that the Farm fulfils its legal obligations as a charity and a company; look after its assets responsibly; ensure that the Farm has a clear vision, mission and strategic objectives; and ensure that the Farm's operations and governance are carried out to the highest possible standard. It is also a hands-on Board. Most Trustees are active participants in the day to day life of the Farm.

The young people hold their own meetings on a regular basis and feed their ideas, concerns and questions into the main Board meetings through two young people's representatives. They also play an important part in recruiting staff for the children and young people's project.

If you are interested in becoming a trustee for the Farm, contact Phil on 01792 578384 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  - we would love to hear from you.

Financially, organisations such as ours would not exist without the support of funding bodies and charitable organisations both large and small. The City and County of Swansea, The Welsh Assembly Government and the Big Lottery have enabled many projects to develop however, we also are appreciative of the support given by much smaller organisations that have enabled many of our activities and programmes to develop.

So the Farm community consists of children; youth volunteers; adult volunteers; trustees; staff and sponsors. It is the support and input of this diverse range of people and organisations that makes 'Farm Life' so interesting.
