Fantastic Fairy Farm Fun Day!

We'd like to say a huge thank you to all who joined us for our Fairy Farm Fun Day on Friday. It was a truly magical day, as our amazing community came out in force to support the Farm. We welcomed more than 350 children throughout the day, distributed over 100 packed lunches (thanks to Swansea Council funding) and raised almost £400 in cash donations, thanks to the generosity of our community members! These funds will go a long way to supporting the Farm. Diolch.

We would also like extend our thanks to the fantastic people who gave up their time to help run the day. Local author Suzan Ruben-Alderton read her children's book 'The Fairy that lived in a pop can'. Suzan sold lots of copies of her book with half the profits going to a charity for children with dementia and/or cancer. 'Facepainting by Sam' worked her socks off making all of our little guests into beautiful fairies and storyteller Jamie told fantastical fairy based stories throughout the day. Thank you all!

There were so many positive comments throughout the day which truly means the world to us and proves how important our family days are to our community.

“What a fantastic day! My 7 and 4 year old and I thoroughly enjoyed. A place where play is led by kids and a chance to get muddy. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the kids met and played with lots of other kids. A very inclusive environment. They were able to take risks such as meeting ‘strange’ animals, playing in mud, climbing and making dens in a safe environment. Thank you all for such fun”.

If you would like to join us for some summer fun, our Thursday Muddy Playscheme, which takes place in Cadle School (next to the Farm) will be running on 17th & 24th August (10am-12pm). Our Friday school holiday Playschemes will be running 18th Aug, 25th Aug, 1st Sept (10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm). Hope to see you there!
